As a fashion stylist, Mia has dressed countless celebrities and high-profile individuals for events and editorials ranging from Nicole Kidman and Beyonce Knowles. In addition to the celeb glamour, Mia maintains a high-low sensibility in her work, as she continues to utilize her wide, design-house expertise to develop fashionable brand archetypes for fast-fashion type retail corporations. Through this styling methodology, Mia has emerged as The Fashion Alchemist.
Mia holds a B.A. in Fashion Design from Wayne State University and has studied film at the School of Visual Arts (SVA). Mia began her career as a teenager at Contempo Casuals as a Visual Display Merchandiser. Upon moving to New York in 1993, Mia worked for Linda Dresner and Sonia Rykiel as a Visual Merchandiser. Mia also took a turn in the film industry, first working under Janie Bryant (Mad Men) and Cat Thomas and then acting as the lead costume designer on feature films. Years later, Mia Morgan Inc., a full-service styling and lifestyle branding firm. In 2008, Mia styled the book Hollywood Pinups, shot by Timothy White and published by Harper Collins. The book featured Hollywood notables such as Kate Hudson and Molly Sims styled as classic pinup girls with shoes by Christian Louboutin.
Due to her high demand and expertise in all areas of lifestyle enhancement, Mia developed her own trademark in 2010, aptly named Mia Morgan, the fashion Alchemist to articulate her stylist approach in combining high and low fashion elements and in The Media: Mia Morgan has garnered press and recognition for her work in publications such as Marie Claire, Women's Wear Daily, InStyle, The Daily News, The New York Times and The Financial Times. Television features and documentary film work spanning the globe from US to Sweden have also featured Mia and her work.
